"I agree, the sooner we get this to the lab, the closer we might get, but we can't run the risk of leaving anything behind" Rose added as she placed the skin sample in the clear plastic evidence bag. "So, aliens running around as humans eh? Sounds exactly like Men In Black" she scoffed, noting another human movie, one Abbie probably hadn't seen either. "Don't mind me. Old movies that I've seen, back.... home" she added simply. "Right... Times like this, we really need a portable scanning device that can do skin samples, and everything under the sun, right here and right now... Almsot like the Doctor" she added under her breath. "If these aliens are running around as humans, that narrows it down. No social security, or health insurance under the NHS scheme.. No cards, as their 'bodies' have been found as the dead, they can't use the same personalities or faces, so that should be like picking a plastic toy out of a ... large haystack' she muttered.

Abbie frowned slightly, "I think that if we got all these remains and analysed them, maybe checked the inside for some kind of alien reproductive fluid... or something, and then I can cross reference them with Lestat. I'll get the police to pop the bodies, or shells of bodies in those black body bags they have and have them send them to HQ. That way with the bodies gone we can look for any more clues around here. Might be easier to see with the bodies gone anyway." she said rambling again. She frowned slightly and grabbed the plaster out of her bag. "I might just take a plaster cast of the aliens footprint. That might help Lestat figure out what it is."

"This Lestat.. Sounds quite... advanced?" she added. "It was never a blue.. Police box by any chance was it" she chuckled as she spoke quickly to one of the remaining 'white suited' police men still remaining at the scene, before moving towards Abbie once more. "These.... Whatever they are, certainly know how to clean up well after themselves don't they" she added taking a few photos of the scene, as one by one the bodies were cleared away- nothing was clear under Rose's eye, until the last body was removed. There was something lying on the ground. Something almost too obvious to have been left by an alien. As though it was.... a trap perhaps. "Abbie" she called, spotting the strange device, which looked like a microchip with a microphone attached to it, lying to the side of the white line of the body 'marking' on the road. "You don't think.....?"

"A blue police box? Ah no I can't say he has... then again I don't really know what a blue police box is... And he's not exactly advanced he was just used for this type of stuff before I bought him. So he's still got most of the equipment, and access to files on the majority of the galaxy." Abbie smiled slyly down at the microchip. "You know how to find out. Tracing the chips signal to where ever it's sending it's data too... Either that or Pete's trying to keep an eye on us." she frowned slightly.

She scooped up the small microchip piece with her gloved hands, turning it over. "You know, nothing... Nothing that man would do, would really suprise me" she added glancing down. "Pete... If you ARE listening. Piss off" she muttered into it with a laugh. "Wouldn't it be ironic if I lost my job for that?" she added glancing down at it. "Tracing the chips signal... Wouldn't that just be a little to easy?. I mean, just say.. If it's not Pete- and hopefully to dear god it's not Pete, who just heard me swearing at him- and it's alien technology.. Wouldn't they be smart enough, not to leave a chip laying around - that's so easily traceable, and .... or either that or it's a trap" she shrugged. "Might blow up in front of our faces.. Might have enough C4 to put a hole in the world"

"Look how tiny that is. They would have to be using some really really advanced technology for that to blow up and cause anyone damage. And if it's of earth origin, then even if we can't trace the signal. The barcode number on the back will at least tell us who made it and even perhaps who it got sold too." Abbie smiled slightly. "And I highly doubt if Pete is behind it, that he would fire you. After all you're the legendary Rose Tyler if Pete wanted to fire you, he'd have to get past the head bosses, and they like you. And I'm pretty sure your Dad still has some sway with the whole company."

"My dad...?" she laughed. "If only they knew" she added before turning it over. "Well there is some kind of coding, not in our numerical system, or alphabet... so, outer-planetary system I'd say, but where?" she muttered, handing the chip in the evidence bag carefully over to Abbie. "Ahh.. You know, Pete might just very well be one of those Aliens, you never know" she winked. "To anyone else, you look human... as Pete does..." she shrugged. "So, should we take it back to the lab now, or further our investigation here"

Abbie squinted slightly looking at the chip. "I've seen this writing somewhere before." she muttered. "I'll scan the whole thing and see if I can get Lestat to figure out what it is and where it's from. Maybe the alien itself had some kind of locator chip on it in case of emergency." she shrugged and quickly wrote it's details down on the evidence list and packed it into her case with all the other equipment that she had used. "Yea unless there's anything else here, we should probably head over to the lab and have a good look at those bodies."

"The forensic squad before we came had practically scanned this place clean, I doubt we'll get much more out of this place... The lab will hopefully give us some more insight into this eh?" she added, slowly getting to her feet as she nodded to the coppers, who shut the van door- they'd drive both bodies to the morgue and lab at Torchwood HQ for them. "You've seen the writing before? Not from this galaxy perhaps then" she added. "Right.. Well, Lestat's scanners will helpfully lead us to the planet of origin, we just need to know wether or not the aliens using it, are from that said planet, or wether it might've been something they picked up on their own travels'

Abbie nodded hopping into the car next to Rose. "Yea I think I've seen it before. Maybe in a text book of some kind during school at the orphanage. I took a course on alien languages, I was never very good at it, either that or our courses were never very good." she sighed. "Well Lestat has a pretty good encyclopedia of these kinds of things, so he might have this on record somewhere. And maybe if we input all the info he'll be able to see who's running around earth using people for reproduction. And even if it is from another planet, at least that will help us narrow down hopefully an area of space that this creature usually resides in." she said trying to think logically about how they could figure this all out with the little information that they had left.

"Blimey.. The day we get a simple case, where it's all layed out for us, and all we have to do is actually arrest the .... aliens, I'll hold a party. They just seem to be getting more and more complex.. From not knowing what the hell we're dealing with, to being in danger ourselves... Technically, we'll have to be on the watch. None of the victims so far have been linked in any way, so technically anything that looks human is a target. That includes you Abbie. We'll have to go see Pete about this, you realise?" she added with a groan. "Right.. We'll get to Lestat first, and deal with it from there?"

Abbie nodded. "I know I know, but I figure considering I am an alien I might be able to protect myself better then you simple humans can." she teased slightly. "Hey how about, we don't tell Pete and we set up a trap for the alien with him being unknown bait for the alien?... Or not." she smiled. "I do love the idea of visiting my dear old Lestat. I haven't seen him in a while and I'm quite sure being stuck in the basement of Torchwood isn't exactly his idea of fun."

"Lestat being alive.. The idea of alien space-craft being 'alive' still creeps me out. Just a little. I mean, I looked into a 'heart' of a space craft once. Who'd have thought these alien space crafts could have feelings, or... thoughts, or... hearts for that matter" she blinked getting back into the car. "Wow... Pete, being the bait? I've never like an idea from you more than I do right now" she grinned. "Well, as soon as we get these samples to your Lestat and figure out what we're possibly dealing with, the sooner we can devise a lovely... Plan" she winked starting up the car once more.

Abbie smiled slightly and looked over at Rose, "Well he's not really alive, I just like talking about him as though he is. Plus with his encyclopedia, and how he usually manages to figure out what I need it does sometimes seem like he's alive. But there are alot of species out there that have a symbiotic relationship with other beings that can and do travel through space." Abbie laughed. "I think the plan should be using Pete as bait... and then not saving him when the alien attacks."

Nodding as they were back at HQ, unloading their own gear, the van with the bodies were following close behind, stopping at the gates where the Torchwood executive guards took over from the policemen. "Did you ever travel with someone, besides Lestat.. Of course.. I mean, did you ever have a companion... travelling partner inside Lestat for all that time you went around? I can imagine... it would get extremely lonley, no matter how many life forms you may see or meet on different planets or what have you. I knew someone once that always seemed to prefer travelling alone, but it wasn't until I travelled with him, and saw him wiht others, that I realised how much he needed someone there"
