Abbie grabbed her bags of equipment and followed Rose out of the car and back up to HQ. "Ah well for a while there we had a crew. Mechanic, captain, crazy random people who just seem to turn up... But then we got into some trouble and people died and I learnt how to fly and fix the ship and then I just decided to fly around for a while, doing random jobs meeting people. Exciting life of a space... woman."

"Trouble?" she frowned. "What kind of trouble... If you dont' mind me asking... Of course... Uhh, if you do... You don't have to say anything" she added scratching her head. "That didn't really come out correctly did it" she mumbled, dragging the bag into the basement, where they had acess to the lift that went to Lestat. Abbie's ship. No one had been able to touch Lestat since it was docked inside Torchwood HQ, apart from Abbie. That, Rose had managed to keep as a firm rule with the staff and security of Torchwood. While Abbie was working here, as a well respected and good staff member, they would respect her wishes, and privacy.. Apart from times when they needed Lestats help. Like now. "What did you see, out there.... In space I mean?"

Abbie frowned, "Well we got on apparently the wrong side of a war... At least we thought it was the right side, but we lost, so maybe it was the wrong side. Or maybe right doesn't always win." she said and sighed. "I saw alot of pain and death in space. Sometimes I found a nice world... But things ultimately went wrong. And then I just took to doing jobs for not so nice people until I crashed here." she said and shrugged. The elevator doors opened. "Hello baby!" she said almost skipping out of the elevator and running over to Lestat and hugging the outside of him. "I missed ya baby."

"Bad things happen to good people... The Right doesn't always win.. Unfortunatley I've seen it happen that way too many times... It's happened to friends... compainons of mine... My family even" she shrugged as she stood by the side of Lestat, watching Abbie with her space craft. It had been four years and three days to be exact when she was last in a space craft. She'd not entered a single one since, nor had she wanted to. "I reckon that in everything, everyone has to have their fair share of good and bad... Right and wrong. . It's the only way we'll ever learn.... "

Abbie frowned. "We've learned enough for a lifetime haven't we buddy." she said and headed towards the small door that lead right up into the bridge. "Wanna come up?" she said opening the door. "He likes new people."

"Unfortuantley it's a thing that never seems to stop" she muttered, frowning. "This good and bad thing... It's never going to be enough... It's always there, every second... every breath you take, as a living being? That's all that that the 'grand design' needs to ensure that you have your share of good and bad. Never stops" she added again as she took a deep breath, stepping up the plank bridge to Lestat. "Haven't been in one of these for a long time, but.... Let's check it out"

Abbie sighed, "Still, bad things shouldn't happen to good people." she said looking down at her feet as she walked up the stairs into the thingypit and looked around her ship. "Hello baby. Did ya miss me?" she said starting to press buttons and touch screens as the thingypit, that could probably hold a maximum of 3 people, two sitting and one standing, came to life around them. Screens were displaying images, the consoles were lighting up and the faint humming of the engine powering the screens filled the thingypit. "Right so all we have to do." she said sitting down in the captains chair and fiddling with some of the buttons on the panel directly in front of her. "Is input what evidence we've found, plus analyse some of the samples we've got, and he should be able to figure out what we're dealing with... Or he should at least be able to narrow it down."

She'd brought along the evidence bags, most of them sticking out from her back pocket of her jeans as she pulled them out, handing them to Abbie. With a glance around the craft, she realised just how advanced some of the technology on board was, somewhat close to what the Tardis had been like. "Geez, would you look at this" she added moving to the sreen, with the same symbols and 'images' that the Tardis used to have as the 'mechanics' of the moving parts of the space craft. "No wonder you like this baby, it's ... He's brilliant?" she chuckled, taking a seat in the seat next to Abbie. "Right, well.. Evidence bags contain the skin samples from the victims and a trace of ultra flourescent.... Goo?" she added glancing at the green / yellow tinged 'goo' that was contained in a small vial. "I guess that's the closest thing to call this... Goo" she added. 'Could be blood... could be saliva... god knows"

Abbie smiled slightly. "Or it could simply be reproductive goo... That's the technical term." she said slightly cheekily before taking the bags off Rose. She placed the samples on a table and quickly poped some gloves so she didn't accidentally alter the evidence. She placed samples of each in separate test tubes before pressing a button on the console and a door opened and a shelf slid out from the hole. She placed the test tubes on the shelf and slid it back inside the hole and turned back to Rose. "That'll take a minute. I've already punched in the peramiters but it'll still take a while to give us a selection of aliens."

"Really Abbie... Eww?" she muttered, scrunching her nose up in disgust at the 'technical' term Abbie had reffered to. "Well, if anything.. hopefully it's an Alien.... Goo, and not... Human, that would possibly be even more disgusting" she added shuddering as she glanced at the screen. "I have to say, this is a /very/ nifty looking space craft.. I think I'm going to like your good old Lestat" she beamed. "A selection? Pity... " she added while drumming her fingers against the seat. "What do you reckon it could be.. Any ideas to toss up so far?"

Abbie smiled and looked around her spaceship. "Well I have to say I'm very proud of my baby... Plus over the year's I've upgraded him. With help from quite a few different people and civilisations." she sighed and took a look at the screen. "Well one that seems to keep popping up is a yet unnamed alien from a planet in the Severnus Region of space. They're telepathic and reproduce by laying their eggs in a being and when the eggs hatch they eat their incubator before taking their proper form. They usually leave at least some part of the being behind. It changes with whatever they use to produce. Otherwise there's the same kind of thing, but they're like little beetles or bugs and thousands of them spill from the body. So maybe not."

Rose scoffed at Abbie as she took a seat. "You realise, you just called this ship.. Regardless of it being similiar to the Tarids, you just called it your 'baby'" Rose laughed, as she shook her head. "Oh dear" she added, wiping something that was dripping from the corner of her eye. "You remind me so much of him" she added as she glanced at the screen. "Beetles and bugs, pouring out a corpse? How lovely, just what Torchwood would normally look for" Rose groaned. "Please let it not be that. I really do have quite the fear of thingyaroaches, and beetles.. Anything crawly... Oh man, they just give me the creeps. Once I found one at the bottom of a chip packet mum bought back for me, and I freaked.. knowing I'd just eaten the entire chip packet, and then found it.. What if it had been one of them.. That crawled out of a corpse" Rose muttered, looking as though she was going to be sick.

"Of course he's my baby. When you travel the world with nothing but a space ship they become your only friend. He has a personality chip you know... I just haven't been able to get enough money to buy something to give him a voice... or a holographic projection of himself." Abbie said hitting a few more buttons on the console. "After all if he wasn't slightly human he wouldn't be able to help me out with this type of stuff." she looked at the screen again. "It's okay Lestat doesn't think it's bugs... He favours the reproductive alien theory."

"Personality ship.. Wow.. So.. Half ship.. Half ... Well, some amount human.. " Rose laughed patting Lestat's console. "Well, maybe Torchwood might be able to help with something like that for ... Him. You know, a voice. Maybe even a holographic system. There's quite a few things we haven't catagorised yet.. Which, may just be what this ship needs" she added with a grin as she scrunched up her nose at the findings on the computer. "You know, I think I may have preffered the bug theory" she added before standing up again. "Right.. Well, we know, or at least we have an inkling now as to what we're dealing with.. Now, we've just got to find the thing... Lestat.. Any.. Ideas?"

Abbie smiled "We would both love it if there was something that Torchwood could do." she turned to the ships console. "Well Lestat? Any ideas?" A picture of what seemed like some kind of bodily fluid flashed up on the screen under which was some alien rune writing. "Ah. Lestat says the specific alien leaves footprints behind, but the footprints they leave behind also contain some of the mucus that is on their skin. This muscus seems to let off some kind of radiation. Nothing harmful to humans, but something that can definately be traced with the right kind of equipment. The kind of equipment that Lestat can provide." she said beaming like a proud mother.
